Happy New Year!

                 There's SNOW place like home!

2022 was another active year for us. We started the year on the ski slopes of Niigata and Nagano, visited the art island Naoshima and Kyoto over spring break, stayed in Shimoda for the summer this year, and capped it with another ski trip to Yuzawa last week. 

It was our first full year living in Shimoda. Lina (4) made some new friends at the local day care, loves arts/crafts, is working on her canyoning skills. 

Ty started the 5^th grade at Shimoda Asahi elementary school and is active in swimming, basketball, and running. His relay team won the inter-school 4 x 100 meters this year.

Megumi became an English ALT at a local elementary school and continues to teach yoga on the beach, squeezing in morning ocean runs. Her relay team did well at the Kawazu triathlon, placing 4^th. She ran a 40 minute 10K so needs to get a little faster 😉.

And Motozo reignited his triathlon exploits after a 5-year hiatus, completing 2 middle distance races, winning Irago age group, and finishing ranked 4^th overall in Japan.

明けましておめでとうございます。

2023年のスタートですね。

年初にあたり、大きな夢の実現に向けて、今年も頑張ろうと

具体的な目標や誓いをたてられて方も多いとおもいます。
